Hello everyone, John from Cool English again with some great new grammar practice. I want to share a fun exercise based on “used to”. Teach the differences between used to, be used to, and get used to with interactive reviews. There is a lot of practice like multiple choice, fill in the blank, rephrasing, open questions, and a video clip game. There is even an auto-grading test you can assign as homework.

I like to go over the rules with the students first. Then we do 2-3 of the activities in class. After that, I assign the other 2-3 activities as homework for review. I ask them to write or record their answers to the open questions or send me the written rephrase it answers.

In the next class, we review a little more and go over any doubts. Sometimes we do the test together in class, or I assign it as homework.

I know teaching grammar can be challenging. I hope this helps some of you make it more exciting.

John
