Hey everybody, John from Cool English with some fun new activities for you. This week I have Introduction Cards. These are sets of personal info cards in different categories to practice asking/answering questions, roleplays, and games.
There are six different categories, Normal people, Disney Stars, Superheroes, Young Stars, Famous Stars, and Business Moguls. Each set has six people with personal information and blanked-out questions.
I like to have my students present cards to the class. I focus on joining words and pronunciation practice to help them sound more natural. It is also great for practicing 3rd-person. Then, they must ask the questions, revealing each to see if they were right. There are many ways to ask the same question, and I provide only one example.
Another great activity is roleplaying with the class. Have students ask and answer questions about each other as if they were the people on the cards. Sometimes I play a game of "can you guess who I am" and slowly tell them information except for the name to see if the class can figure out who it is.
There are many ways to use these intro cards. I hope you enjoy them as much as my students do.
John
