New Family Feud Games

Updated: Aug 23, 2023

Hey guys, John from Cool English, I am back with some new additions to the classic Family Feud game. There are two new basic games and two new advanced games.

Family Feud has been on TV in America since the 1970s. It involves two families competing against each other to guess the answers to different surveys. They ask a thousand Americans the same questions, and the students must guess the top five responses. The number one response is worth the most points.

I start the game by explaining the rules and even showing the google images of the show. Remember to print out the teacher's answer sheet or have it open on your phone for easy access. Introduce a category and then ask one of the teams what they think the number one response is. After their guess, I normally say, "the survey says……..”, yes and the number placement if they're right, or no but good guess if they're wrong.

You can play just one round or all three depending on the time you have available. It is a great warmer or cooler for your individual or group classes.

My students love guessing the answers and seeing what the top five responses are. I always remind them that the surveys are done with Americans. So, their answers might be different due to cultural differences.
