Hey guys, John from Cool English with the weekly new activities. Today I have some new music video clip games and some food videos for listening and speaking/writing practice.
First, there are two new Top 10 Music Video-Clip games. These are always popular in my classes, and I am sure they will be in yours. I have a basic level with multiple-choice options and an advanced level with fill-in-the-blanks. I like to do 5-6 clips in class and then assign the rest as homework. In small groups, I have the students speak the answers out loud. In large groups, I ask them to write their responses.
Second, are some food videos. I like using food videos to practice listening and speaking as everybody loves food. The 14 Must-Try Foods activities are short videos that students must try to summarize. There is a sample summary for you to show them as an example if necessary. Students can either speak or write the food summaries. Then talk about what they think of the food. Is it a must-try for them? I usually do a few in class and then assign a few more for homework.
