Hey everyone, John from Cool English with your weekly new activities. This week I have something special. A great grammar activity on conditionals, and I am starting to put together some simple lesson plans to help teachers use the site more effectively.
Conditionals – a comprehensive activity for learning, practicing, and testing conditionals.
Learn– diagrams explaining the use and structure with some examples.
Individual Reviews – practice zero, first, second, and third conditionals individually.
Review Game – use pictures to form phrases of any of the four conditional forms.
If /Then – join the IF prompts to the THEN prompts to create phrases.
Open Questions – finish the open question prompts any way you want making sure it's grammatically correct.
Video Clips – watch short clips, repeat the conditional, and identify which type it is.
Test – a ten-question auto-grading test of multiple choice and fill-in-the-blanks.
Lesson Plans – these downloadable pdfs have three activities to fill an hour-long class and a homework assignment. There are clickable links and short descriptions explaining why and how to teach each activity. It is still a work in progress, and I would love your suggestions.
