Hello to all Cool English enthusiasts! It's John once again, bringing you your weekly activity update. By popular demand, we're expanding our collection with two new editions of the ever-entertaining “The Price is Right” game. It's not just about the thrill of guessing—it's a fabulous way for students to hone their number skills, familiarize themselves with money-related vocabulary, and get acquainted with everyday items.
🎮 Here's How to Get Started:
Reveal the Item: Kick things off by clicking on one of the numbers. An intriguing item will appear.
Guess the Price: Out of the four displayed prices, which one do you think hits the mark? Make your pick!
Check Your Answer: Click on your chosen price to unveil the correct amount. Award points based on your students' accuracy.
The Grand Challenge: Present your students with four distinct items for a real test. Their mission? Arrange them from the most wallet-friendly to the priceiest. For an added twist, ask them to estimate the combined value of all items. The closest approximation earns an extra point!
Whether kickstarting a lesson or wrapping it up, these games serve as delightful energizers or wind-downs. Given the rave reviews from my students, I'm confident yours will be equally captivated.
Can't wait to hear about your experiences! And, as always, don't forget to swing by coolenglish.net next week for another refreshing dose of activities.
Cheers to learning with a splash of fun,
John
John,
Have you been shopping lately? These prices are laughably low compared to Florida, USA.
