Hello everyone! It's John with your weekly activity update. Exciting news this week - we've added new versions of the much-loved “Family Feud” game.
Family Feud, a hit American TV game show since the 1970s, involves guessing the top responses from a survey of 1,000 people. We've adapted it for English learners, making it an engaging way to encourage conversation.
How to Play:
Download the Teacher’s Answer Sheet from the pink box in the upper left corner of our site. This sheet will help you check the students' answers.
Divide the Class into Teams and start with Round 1.
Read the Question and ask teams to guess the top 5 survey replies. For correct guesses, reveal the placement. If incorrect, mark an X under their team’s name (each team gets three chances).
Tally the Points after each round. The team with the most points after three rounds wins.
This game is perfect as a warm-up or cool-down activity. Feel free to skip the scoring for a more relaxed discussion – the choice is yours!
Stay tuned for more exciting updates next week at coolenglish.net!
John
