It's John, back with another exciting weekly activity update. This week, we're adding another versatile basic level reading and listening activity, perfect for both classroom sessions and homework assignments.
Choose from one of the six short stories available. You can play the audio for a listening comprehension exercise or reveal the text for a reading activity. Alternatively, pair the text and audio for a read-along experience that bolsters both reading and listening skills. After the story, dive into the 'Questions' section, packed with five comprehension questions and five conversation starters. Click on a comprehension question to reveal a handy sample answer.
I often cover one or two stories in class, leaving the rest for homework. I also encourage students to record their readings for personalized feedback.
